The average on farm income in 2018 was a LOSS of $800 with 90% of farmers having an off the farm job. (Translation... not many farmers, those that farm lose money and get an off the farm job to pay for their farming habit). At Moink we are fixing that with a simple solution - paying farmers fairly.

Salt & Pepper Flank Steak

With meat this good we cover a multitude of cooking sins. Salt & Pepper and Supper is slayed.

  • Serves 4
  • Active time 10 minutes
  • Total time 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package MOINK flank steak
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Thaw the steak.

Cook according to one of the following methods.

In the oven:

  • Arrange the oven rack 5 inches from the broiler.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven and preheat the broiler. (Allowing the pan to heat up along with the oven ensures nice browning on the meat.)
  • Rub the steak with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Carefully remove the preheated pan from the oven and add the steak.
  • Broil for 6 to 8 minutes or to desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
