It’s been a stressful few weeks but I can say we are finally settling into our #newhome. I’m loving everything about the #newspace and throughly enjoying my time cooking in the #newkitchen.

Salt & Pepper Flank Steak

With meat this good we cover a multitude of cooking sins. Salt & Pepper with Moink = Supper is slayed.

  • Serves 4
  • Active time 10 minutes
  • Total time 20 minutes


  • 1 package MOINK flank steak
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper


Thaw the steak.

Cook according to one of the following methods.

In the oven:

  • Arrange the oven rack 5 inches from the broiler.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven and preheat the broiler. (Allowing the pan to heat up along with the oven ensures nice browning on the meat.)
  • Rub the steak with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Carefully remove the preheated pan from the oven and add the steak.
  • Broil for 6 to 8 minutes or to desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
